There are times that we feel we are not ourselves in a relationship, it can happen because we are walking on eggshells around the other person, or we are scared that they won't like the real version of us. However, pretending to be someone else is mentally draining and very exhausting. Therapist Sadaf Siddiqi wrote, "Do you ever find yourself taking on certain characteristics because you feel pressured to be liked or successful? Does it drain you? If so, you might be struggling with being your authentic self. While it's sometimes difficult to start expressing yourself as you are, once you get there, you'll find that the easiest person to be is you." Here are a few signs.
