Anti-labour policies: railway men's union holds gate rally
The Northern Railway Men's Union (NRMU) organised a gate rally in front of the parcel house at platform No. 1 at the Ludhiana railway station on Saturday. A large number of NRMU members participated in the rally in protest against the anti-labour policies of the railway ministry.

Divisional secretary of the union Daljit Singh said the railways instead of cutting 5% salary of the employees should stop the trains that were running into losses and increase the rail fair.
The train fares in comparison to the buses are still very nominal and cheap. They also raised their voice against the 17 committees made for the railways. He added that they would organise a massive rally at the local railway station on May 1 i.e. Labour Day to put forward their demands.
