He said the railway station touches both Chandigarh and Panchkula so it should be named as Panchkula-Chandigarh railway station.

He campaigned in Sectors 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12-A, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, Bhaisa Tibba, Kharakmangoli, Rajiv Colony, Indira Colony and Ashiana flats in Sectors 20, 26 and 28.

He raised the issue of medical college and university in Panchkula.

He was accompanied by local MLA DK Bansal and former president of erstwhile municipal council of Panchkula Ravinder Rawal during the campaigning in the town.

On the issue of being labelled as an outsider, he said he had a house in Sector 12 and had been living in Panchkula for the past 25 years.
