Only Rajinikanth can do this, taking over both land and sky to promote his film, Kabali. After surprising his fans by painting an entire plane in Kabali colours, we now have a double decker bus in Mumbai sporting the film’s livery.

In an effort to cash in on the film’s craze, FoxStar Studio launched a ‘Kabali bus’, a double deck bus painted with posters. It will start from Wadala bus depot in the city, and make its way to InOrbit Malad via Aurora theatre in Matunga. It will stop at Dadar, Bandra and Andheri, enroute. Aurora theatre has a strong association with Rajinikanth. It has, in the past, seen long runs of his films.

In the past, Rajinikanth has tried to reach out to the rest of India but he failed to make a mark. This was in the ’80s but with the advent of brand ‘Rajinikanth’ and his trademark mannerisms, he have slowly created a fan-base up north as well.
