Allu Arjun’s last film Duvvada Jagannadham, an action comedy, was a big hit.

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun will soon be making his Tamil debut with a film directed by Lingusamy. Soon after the untitled Tamil film was announced nearly a year ago, it was put in the back burner, reports Pinkvilla. However, now fresh reports suggest that it has got a fresh impetus from the makers and the work on the film is expected to begin in 2018.

According to the report, the makers of the film wanted the shoot to begin in 2017 itself. However, Allu Arjun’s busy schedule meant that it can only begin in 2018.

“A script has been locked and pre-production activities will begin too. Director Lingusamy has to wrap up his ongoing project with Vishal, post which he will begin work on the same. Meanwhile, Bunny will finish Naa Peru Surya too. They wanted to start shooting in 2017 but some other commitments came their way. Now, they have everything settled,” the source was quoted by Pinkvilla as saying.

Allu Arjun has had a superb run at the box office of late -- S/O Satyamurthy, Sarrainodu, Duvvada Jagannadham -- were all hits. His next is called Naa Peru Surya, which is currently being shot.
