Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze will miss Saturday’s Champions League final against Bayern Munich due to a muscle injury, the club said. The 20-year-old, who will join Bayern next season, was injured in the second leg of the semi-final against Real Madrid on April 30. “That final was my goal, I’ve struggled hard to be fit in recent weeks and I am incredibly sorry for not being able to help the team,” Goetze said.

Badstuber out for 10 months
Berlin: Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber faces up to 10 months on the sidelines but should play again after undergoing surgery on a knee injury for the second time in six months, the club said on Wednesday. The Germany international tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee last week as he was rehabilitating from an identical injury suffered in early December.
