Obesity in mothers could be responsible for early puberty of their daughters, According to a study, maternal obesity (body mass index of 30 or more) and overweight mothers (body mass index between 25 and 30) are responsible for a 20-40% greater chance of earlier breast development in girls aged 6 to 11.
