Call Centre scamming US, Canada nationals busted in Gurugram

The accused scammed foreign nationals of $500 to $1000 dollars each through pop-ups offering tech support, police said.

Twenty-four people were arrested from the call centre and several mobile phones, a computer, and <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>2.5 lakh cash were seized during the raid.

Central trade unions set to launch protests against monetisation pipeline

According to a joint statement issued by the protesting trade unions, the demonstrations against the central government's disinvestment policy intend to make people aware of the “dangerous effects” of the move.

Trade unions to protest against National Monetisation Pipeline today

The trade unions plan to carry out an awareness campaign today to voice their protests against the NMP scheme. The unions have also dubbed October 7 as “national protest day”, having planned agitations at the district level.
