Pay Rs 8 lakh penalty or face life ban: WFI to tell Reena after failed dope test

Suspended for failing a dope test, wrestler Reena will be handed a life ban if she fails to share with Wrestling Federation of India half of the Rs 16 lakh penalty for the offence.

Ritu Phogat to replace Vinesh Phogat in 50kg for Worlds, Pinki back in 53kg

Vinesh Phogat, who was a medal favourite, suffered an elbow injury on Friday during practice and was ruled out. The WFI had entered Ritu Phogat’s name in the 53kg after original choice Pinki refused to appear in a re-trial.
