On Friday, a 45-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by an inebriated man inside the general coach of the Punjab-Bihar Jallianwala Bagh Express after she objected to his smoking. The deceased and her family were on their way to Bihar for taking part in Chhath puja festivities, police had said.

Live Updates: Gurjit Kaur scored the only goal of the match as India defeated China 1-0 to reach the Women’s Hockey final at the Asian Games 2018. The match was quite evenly contested with the solitary goal coming in the fourth quarter. In the group stages, India maintained a hundred percent win record with the strikes pumping in a lot of goals. India will now take on Japan in the summit clash on August 31 after Japan defeated South Korea in the other semifinal.
