Indian billionaire who unveiled Dubai tower named after SRK dismisses layoff fears amid West Asia conflict
Indian billionaire Rizwan Sajan, who runs his business empire in Dubai, shared this update in an Instagram post.
Rizwan Sajan, the founder of Dubai-based Danube Properties, which developed a 55-storey commercial tower and named it after Shah Rukh Khan, pledged job security for his workforce. In an Instagram post, he said that the escalating conflict in West Asia will not affect the employment status of his over 6,000 employees.

“In good times, everyone talks about growth. But in difficult times, your values are tested,” Sajan wrote.

The Indian billionaire added, “Our 6,000+ employees have trusted us, worked with us, and built Danube Group brick by brick. Today, it’s my responsibility to stand by them.”
He shared that, in addition to job security, all the employees will get paid on time. “I'm proud to say that there will be No Layoffs in Danube Group and all salaries will continue to be paid on time.”

The post prompted many to appreciate Sajan. Many reacted to the post using clapping emoticons.

Who is Rizwan Sajan?
Rizwan Sajan, who started his business in 1993 with a few thousand dirhams, is now considered among “Top 100 Indian leaders in the UAE,” according to the UAE’s Ministry of Economy and Tourism. His company currently generates revenues of AED 5.13 billion.
Sajan first started working at a hardware store after relocating to Dubai in 1993. The same year, he started a small trading firm called Danube. He established Danube Properties in 2014. Today, his business empire has expanded beyond the UAE’s market and reached Bahrain, India, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and China. He was also named “Top 10 Most Impactful Real Estate Leaders of 2025” by Forbes Middle East.
