creator-producer Matthew Weiner has a tough task at hand: satisfying fans, who are eagerly waiting for the final season of the American TV series that will premiere in April in India.

Did Matthew expect such a huge fan following in India?

"I never imagined it. It’s great that we have a huge audience in India. It pleases me immensely. In fact, I would love to visit India soon. It’s definitely on my list of things for life, once the show’s over," says the 48-year-old, adding, "It’s the kind of reach for an artist that you would never dare to imagine, especially about a show that is so particularly American, on some level."

Matthew adds, "From what I know about Indian culture and storytelling, I think Don Draper (the main character) could certainly be the hero of an Indian myth. I never imagined that the show would have this reach and I realise it’s one of those things that you just can’t think about when you’re working, because it’s too overwhelming to imagine the huge amount of people paying attention to you."
