Salman had asked me to be in Bigg Boss: Hazel Keech

The list of actresses who have been introduced in Salman Khan’s films is an ever-burgeoning one. And while a few of them have gone on to make it big, many of them have disappeared as quickly as they came on the scene. One such discovery was Hazel Keech, who, you might recall, played Maya, Divya’s (lead actress Kareena Kapoor) friend in Bodyguard (2011).
The super-successful 100 cr grosser made Salman an even bigger commodity in Bollywood, but it did little for newcomer Hazel. Now, however, she is back on the scene, as one of the participants in the seventh season of the reality show, Bigg Boss, which too is hosted by Salman.
The actor admits that it Salman who urged her to sign up for the controversial show. “Salman had asked me to be in the show. He had told me that right after Bodyguard released. Even last year, he said I should be in the show, but at the time, I was shooting for a film. This year, I have some free time since my film has got delayed,” says Hazel. Post Bodyguard, the actor has only done an item number in an obscure film called Maximum (2012).
She isn’t apprehensive either to concede that it’s the scope for publicity that drew her to the hugely popular show. “That’s definitely one of the reasons. My film got delayed, so I have some free time to get some publicity,” she says.
