Union Home Minister Amit Shah campaigned in Maharashtra ahead of the Assembly elections. Addressing a rally in Karad, he raised the recent dilution of Article 370 to target the Opposition alliance of Congress-Nationalist Congress Party. Shah also accused the Opposition of being against the National Register of Citizens and triple talaq law. He also cited the surgical strikes of September 2016 and airstrikes of February 2019 to claim that national security had improved under the NDA. Shah also held a roadshow in Pune.
