Puducherry becomes 1st Union Territory to pass resolution against CAA

Puducherry on Wednesday becomes first Union Territory to pass resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The resolution was passed in a special assembly session. MLAs from BJP AINRC and AIADMK boycotted the proceedings of the House. Five states have already passed a resolution against CAA. Kerala was the first state to pass anti-CAA resolution. Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh have passed the resolution. All these states are ruled by non-BJP governments.
