India entering endemic Covid stage, says W.H.O. How it differs from a pandemic

World Health Organisation (W.H.O) chief scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan said that India may be entering the endemic stage of Covid-19. Swaminathan said the stage will be marked by low or moderate levels of transmission. “We may be entering some kind of stage of endemicity where there is low-level transmission or moderate level transmission going on but we are not seeing the kinds of exponential growth and peaks that we saw a few months ago,” she said.
