Defying Trump? Under spy scrutiny and Rubio’s rebuke, Netanyahu vows no limits in Lebanon and Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has raised the stakes in Gaza and Lebanon, declaring that Israeli forces now control more than 60% of Gaza and could soon reach 70%. Netanyahu also claimed Hezbollah is retreating after intense Israeli operations in southern Lebanon. The remarks come amid fresh rocket fire, growing questions over alleged spying concerns, and reported disagreements with Washington over the future of Gaza. While Marco Rubio has distanced the Trump administration from parts of Netanyahu’s vision, the Israeli leader appears determined to push ahead with his military strategy.
