Dhaka cop assaults Hindu woman for wearing Bindi, held; Protests in Bangladesh

Cop arrested in Bangladesh for harassing & threatening to kill a woman for wearing a 'Bindi'. The woman, an academician, felt unsafe and narrated her harrowing ordeal to the police. Dhaka Police stated constable Nazmul Tarek been charged with 'harassing, abusing & physically attacking' the woman. As per Bangladeshi media, police said 'probe found constable Nazmul Tarek was involved in the incident'.
