Adak's mother Madhavi was allegedly beaten to death when she had tried to defend her son. The alleged attack took place at Khushiganj area in Goghat's Badanganj. The deceased's body was later sent to the Arambagh hospital for post-mortem. A complaint has been lodged at Goghat police station and a probe is underway. Polling for Goghat seat is being held in the third phase of assembly elections.
