Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump are facing scrutiny over reports that restrictions were imposed on Starshield satellite services used by Ukrainian forces, potentially affecting Kyiv’s ability to counter Russian drone attacks. According to The Telegraph, Musk approached Trump with a proposal to restrict the system in Ukraine, and sources familiar with the discussions claimed the US president agreed. The report said the restrictions included a speed cap of 160 kilometres per hour on Ukrainian drones, raising concerns about their effectiveness against Russia’s Geran attack drones and other aerial threats. Musk publicly denied responsibility, saying any restrictions had been decided by the US military and Trump. However, sources cited by the newspaper alleged that both men were involved in the decision.
