India mourns Lata: Modi govt declares 2-day national mourning; B'wood's tribute

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tribute to Lata Mangeshkar and said he was ‘anguished beyond words’. He said the veteran singer left a void in our nation that can never be filled. “The coming generations will remember her as a stalwart of Indian culture, whose melodious voice had an unparalleled ability to mesmerise people.” Remembering the iconic singer, President Ram Nath Kovind said, “In her vast range of songs, rendering the essence and beauty of India, generations found expression of their inner-most emotions. A Bharat Ratna, Lata-ji’s accomplishments will remain incomparable." Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Ajay Devgn among other Bollywood celebs also paid tribute. Watch the full video for more.
