Tabu for the Oscars

India may have a strong contendor for the Oscar nominations this year. Reports suggest that filmmaker Mira Nair is lobbying for the Best Actor nomination for critically acclaimed actor Tabu. Nair recently directed Tabu in the adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri's novel The Namesake for which the talented actor won accolades from world over for her portrayal of the role of Ashima Ganguly.
