FIFA World Cup 2018: ‘England can beat anyone’ – Dele Alli

Dele Alli believes England's current crop can emulate the 1966 World Cup-winning squad. England must first negotiate their way through a round of 16 FIFA World Cup 2018 clash against Colombia, but Alli is adamant that Gareth Southgate's men can match the achievements of Sir Alf Ramsey's squad. “We came here with the mentality that we want to win it and we're going to win it,” Alli said on Saturday. Alli started the group-stage opener against Tunisia, but subsequently missed the 6-1 win over Panama through injury and was then unused in the defeat to Belgium. England last played Colombia in the World Cup in 1998 with Darren Anderson and David Beckham securing a 2-0 win that saw England advance to the knockout stage. In five previous meetings against the South American side England have won three and drawn two. (Video courtesy – SNTV)
