Furious Putin snaps Finland's natural gas supplies over non-payment in Rubles

Amid deteriorating relations, Russia has stopped natural gas supplies to NATO-aspirant Finland. Gasum, a Nordic energy company, had a long-term contract with Russian energy giant Gazprom Export. In April, Gazprom export demanded the payments in the supply contract be made in rubles instead of euros. Finland supplies cut, Gazprom stated, 'didn't receive payment for April in line with (Russian) presidential order…' The Russian company also said, 'delivered 1.49 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Finland in 2021'.
