How U.S aims to resume F-35 deliveries halted over Chinese alloy | Details

Over 825 F-35s delivered so far, and all contain a component made with Chinese alloy. The F-35 fighter aircraft deliveries recently halted over the banned Chinese alloy. The F-35 program office doesn’t anticipate 'replacing magnets in delivered aircraft'. Replacements would need costly & time-consuming retrofits of 500+ U.S. aircraft. Investigators probing if the use of Chinese alloy poses any safety or security risks. Both F-35 Program Office & Lockheed Martin stated 'no security or flight safety risk'. U.S. Department of Defense is eyeing a waiver to resume the f-35 fighter deliveries.
