Cyclone Bulbul: Aerial survey by West Bengal CM, compensation announced

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conducted an aerial survey of areas affected by Cyclone Bulbul. The cyclone made landfall in the region on November 9. It has claimed at least 10 lives so far and affected six lakh people, as per PTI. The CM announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives. She also set up a task force to handle relief and restoration work. The government said that it had evacuated over 1.7 lakh people.
