Amit Shah remains BJP chief for now, JP Nadda appointed working president

Former health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda has been appointed as the working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party on monday. Nadda is expected to be formally elected as the BJP chief in December-January after the organisational elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will continue as the BJP president till Nadda is formally elected to the post. Nadda had also been in contention for the BJP president’s post in 2014 but lost to Amit Shah.
