My First Vote: ‘Govt must improve quality of education,’ says Abhinav Singh
As India gears up for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all parties are eyeing the first time voters. About 18 million people between 18 and 23 are estimated to cast their ballot for the first time in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Hindustan Times’ My First Vote campaign aims to reach out to young, first-time voters to understand what they want, and what issues matter most to them. 20-year-old Abhinav Singh says that the government should focus more towards quality of education. “Value-based education isn’t given much importance… there are so many educated individuals but many don’t even have work,” he adds.
