On way to wedding, techie allegedly rams car into crowd, kills 1

A software engineer has been accused of ramming his car into a crowd and killing one in Tamil Nadu's Madurai. The accident occurred the early hours of Wednesday, and was caught on CCTV. The accused Jayakanth has been arrested. Police said that preliminary tests showed that he was not under the influence of alcohol. He was apparently on his way to a wedding hall to prepare for his marriage.
