US warns Pakistan over CPEC, says it could result in heavier debt burden

US has warned Pakistan over the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC). Alice Wells, the top US diplomat for South Asia said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor said that Pakistan could end up with a higher debt burden. She added that it was not an aid to Pakistan but a form of financing, ensuring guaranteed profits for Chinese enterprises.
