Andrew Strauss

South African born, English star captain, Andrew Strauss is popularly known for his cut and pull shots. Born on March 2, 1977, Strauss is an excellent left handed opening batsman, having deputized for Michael Vaughan as England's captain in 2006. Strauss was appointed on a permanent basis for the 2008/09 tour of the West Indies following Kevin Pietersen's resignation. The 33-year-old is also known for his fielding strength at slip or in the covers.
