Army launches a massive afforestation drive

In a bid to refurbish the flora of Sikkim, Indian Army launched a massive afforestation drive in Sikkim. The Governor of Sikkim, BP Singh and his wife were the Chief guests on the occasion. They inaugurated the drive by planting saplings. Other major guests were also present for the occasion. Children also participated in the drive with zeal and enthusiasm. The Army and the Forest Department planted over 5000 saplings in the joint operation.
