Bhakra to reduce water supply to 4 states

The management overseeing the functioning of Asia's biggest Bhakra Nangal Dam has proposed that the outflow of water to four states would be restricted due to the delayed monsoon, so as to maintain the level of water in the Bhakra reservoir and also in the catchment area. This was decided at the meeting of the Bhakra Beas Management Board or BBMB held at Chandigarh on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the representatives of all the four states.
