The Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the single largest party in Karnataka State Assembly elections and has begun celebrating its victory. The party wants first shot at forming a government in the state, but has made clear it would sit in the Opposition now than tying up with the JD (S). The party has made it clear that Janata Dal (Secular) dissidents are welcome. It crossed the halfway mark of 113 in leads. The Congress has accepted its defeat, while JD (S) is out of the reckoning.
