Boko Haram kidnapping: One year later, missing girls remain a 'shame for the world'

Campaigners demanding the return of 219 girls kidnapped in Chibok held a silent march in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, on Monday. Protesters wore red tape over their mouths, symbolising the stolen voice of the abducted school girls. Aisha Yesufu, an activist says, "We should have protected them, we failed them. And the next best thing we should have done is to have rescue them and up till now we have not done that. That's a shame for this country and the world at large." Boko Haram extremists took nearly 300 schoolgirls from a boarding school in Chibok a year ago.
