Chandigarh, a hip and happening metropolis

This is Chandigarh, India's first planned city. Designed by French architect, Le Corbusier, Chandigarh is the joint capital of northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana. The city itself is a Union Territory, administered directly by the Federal government. As it is the headquarters of both Punjab and Haryana governments, Chandigarh has become a hub of political, social and economic activities.
