Cycle rickshaws now just a phone call away

In line with the 'call-a-cab' concept, an association has made eco-friendly cycle rickshaw available on a phone call in Fazilka, a town in Punjab. Initiated by the Graduates Welfare Association of former IITians, the innovative concept has been put into practice by setting up Ecocab Call Centres in the town. There are about 500 rickshaw-pullers in Fazilka and their union is cooperating in the implementation of the scheme.
