Eid preparations in full swing across India

With Eid-ul-Fitr falling on September 11, Muslims across India are thronging to marketplaces for their last minute preparations. The Eid fever has gripped Guwahati, where streets have been clogged with shoppers purchasing designer veils, henna and jewellery. Meanwhile in Srinagar too, people are shopping for Eid in spite of the recent conflicts. After a month of fasting and prayers, Muslims in the city are getting ready to celebrate the big day - Eid-ul-fitr. Cleansed and reinvigorated after Ramzan, the Eid is an opportunity to bond with members of the family over delicious delicacies.
