General Budget evoke mixed reaction across India

India's budget proposals placed by the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee before the Parliament on Friday has evoked mixed reaction across the country. Where the farmers have welcomed the reduction in fertilizers and lower priced pulses, the trade and industry sector felt dejected on learning about an increase in excise duty and hike in petrol prices.
