Gyaneshwari attack accused sent to 10 days remand of CID

A local court at Jhargram on Friday sent Khagen Mahato, the main accused in the Gyaneshwari train accident, which killed over 140 passengers and injured another 200 in West Bengal, to 10 days remand of Criminal Investigation Department (CID). West Bengal Police had arrested Mahato and also seized a commercial vehicle owned by him on Thursday. Khagen is a member of the Maoist-backed People's Committee against Police Atrocities (PCPA).
