High level of toxic phthalates found in toys in India

Centre for Science and Environment has discovered high level of toxic phthalates, used for softening the plastic in toys, exposure to which lead to wide range of health disorders among children who tend to put them in their mouth. This was stated by Sunita Narayan, Director of CSE at a press conference in New Delhi on Friday.
