Holi re-enacted to atone for previous sin

It is three months past since India celebrated Holi on March 4. The Uttar Pradesh district of Firozpur, however decided to celebrate this festival again to atone for a sin they had committed during the actual festival. Conservatives in the village believe that the burning of a figure of the demoness Holika took place before the ordained time of the ritual, and as a result, the place has been hit by misfortunes.
