It is three months past since India celebrated Holi on March 4. The Uttar Pradesh district of Firozpur, however decided to celebrate this festival again to atone for a sin they had committed during the actual festival. Conservatives in the village believe that the burning of a figure of the demoness Holika took place before the ordained time of the ritual, and as a result, the place has been hit by misfortunes.
