HP strides ahead with its Herbal plantation bid

In a bid to turn Himachal Pradesh into a greener state the forest department started a 'Jan-Jan- Sanjivni' campaign in Shimla. The chief of state, Prem Kumar Dhumal, launched the campaign by planting herbal plants in his residence following which saplings were distributed to the citizens. Approximately 13 lakh households planted herbal sapling in their homes.
