Illicit liquor claims a dozen lives in Punjab

In the worst hooch tragedy in Punjab in recent years, 12 people were killed and 15 others taken ill after they consumed spurious liquor in Dasuya area of the district on Thursday. Speaking to media persons, a top brass of the district Police said the result of post-mortem is awaited and till then nothing could be ascertained. So far three persons have been taken to police custody under various sections of IPC and Excise Act.
