Speaking at a function to mark the World Water Day in New Delhi, on March 20, the Vice-President said that India has achieved success in ensuring water supply in rural areas in the past few years, but still some initiatives will have to be taken to solve water related issues at all levels. Laying emphasis on improving sanitation facilities Hamid Ansari called for partnerships with NGO's and civil societies.
