Incessant rains cause deluge in Haryana

Heavy and incessant rains have inundated Yamuna Nagar and Karnal districts Haryana, crippling normal life. The floodwaters have swamped residential areas, several road links and have washed away expansive stretches of agricultural lands, causing massive losses. People have been using boats to reach safe places as all the major rivers are flowing above the danger mark. Hundreds of people and vehicles have been stranded due to roads either being cut off by the floodwaters, or closed as a precautionary measure.
