India-Japan finalise plan to advance security cooperation

India and Japan have unveiled an action plan to strengthen security cooperation. Japan's Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, who is on his first visit to India, and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh signed a joint statement in New Delhi on Tuesday. At a joint press conference, Hatoyama said he believed that stepping up security cooperation between the two countries would be very meaningful.
