India's first imaging satellite Risat-1 successfully launched

Early this morning at 05:47 hours, an Indian rocket,a microwave Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) from the spaceport in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, was launched around 80 km from Chennai.
