India to renew attempts to clean Ganga: Krishna

After a little success of 'Ganga Action Plan' that was launched over two decades ago to clean River Ganga, Jairam Ramesh India's Minister of Environment and Forests announced a novel long-term project named 'Mission Clean Ganga' at Varanasi on Wednesday. Heralding this new plan, the minister said that the government would ensure that no pollutants are released in the river without treatment.
