India, US should be partners in counter-terrorism: Former US diplomat

Former American diplomat Nicholas Burns on Thursday said that India and the United States face identical security threats, so the countries should be partners in counter-terrorism. Burns also said that Washington has a different set of policies for India and Pakistan, however both hold equal importance. He also sympathized with India's fight with the Maoist threat in its central and eastern regions.
